How to use your VA benefits letter as proof of income for the Jubilado visa.
If you receive permanent VA disability compensation or VA pension income, you can use your VA benefits letter as proof of income for the Jubilado (pensioner) visa.
How to Get It
Download your VA benefits summary letter from the VA.gov website. Log in to your account and select the benefit letter that shows your monthly compensation or pension amount.
Apostille
Get the VA letter notarized in the state where it originated (or where you reside), then apostilled in that state. This is the same workaround used for Social Security letters.
Translation
The apostilled VA letter must be certified translated into Spanish by a translator licensed by Ecuador's judiciary (e.g., EcuadorTranslations.com), and the translation notarized by an Ecuadorian notary.
